The Slik 504QF-II Video Fluid Head was designed as a dual solution for the traveling videographer using light Mini-DV camcorders who also may desire to use still cameras. It is rapidly deployed, quite smooth and easily used. Note that it has three axes of movement, as opposed to a normal video head's pan/tilt exclusivity; this is so that you can make vertical orientation pictures with your still camera.Decades of experience and a wealth of accumulated photographic knowledge, combined with current engineering, have been instrumental in helping Slik create tripods and heads that are amazingly light, yet offer remarkable strength and stability

I understand the point the first reviewer is making about the picture but giving it two stars for Amazon having the wrong pic is unfair to the product. This thing has zero lag / or delay or whatever that little skip is when starting to move a normal head. And I mean zero. It’s beautiful. I just got $500 legs and I’m going to add this little head to them and get another one for my old lighter tripod.
I bought this Slik head because it was recommended by someone who had been a professional cinematographer for 30+ years. And he was so right! This head sells for a very low price in comparison to the smooth fluidity of movement it gives. The quality of my video has improved wonderfully since I acquired this head. Time now to buy another one for my second camera so we can shoot from two different angles simultaneously. The picture is misleading although the text is clear that this if for the HEAD only.
Don’t make the same mistake I made. Unless you are only looking for the head pictured in this image.
I love the SLIK tripod head, don’t get me wrong. But the picture leads you to believe you are getting the whole tripod. Wonder how many they’ve tripped up with this image.
Amazon, fix the image please. Just show the head to reduce confusion.
